The material of kitchen faucet is generally brass. Compared with the brass kitchen sink faucet, the high-quality stainless steel faucet has the characteristics of no lead, acid resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, no release of harmful substances, and no pollution to the tap water source. According to the function, the faucet can be divided into basin, bathtub, shower, kitchen sink faucet. There are many details to pay attention to in the kitchen decoration. Kitchen taps have several similar and opposite concepts, such as pull out kitchen tap or down spray faucets, single lever kitchen tap or dual lever kitchen tap, touch activated kitchen faucet or touchless kitchen sink faucet. In this article, we continue to discuss the similarities and differences of pull-out or down spray faucets.

Pull-out and pull-down spray faucets, these two terms are often used interchangeably, but from a technical perspective, they are different. Both apply high-pressure sprayers to the faucet itself. But the feature of the pull-down faucet is that the high faucet head/sprayer is pulled directly into the sink. The pull-out faucet has a faucet/sprayer that pulls out towards you.

Specifically, the pull down kitchen faucet, also known as gooseneck sink faucet, is famous for its highly curved shape. Installing this type of faucet can immediately stand out in any kitchen. Most of the pull-down faucets are industrial style kitchen faucet, which makes it easy to apply to various styles and decorations. The hand sprayer of the pull-down faucet is very comfortable to use and hold in the hand. Because its design is very ergonomic, it does not need to twist and manipulate the hose to one side. This is convenient for washing soapy dishes or food residues. All in all, pull-down kitchen faucets usually have high arc nozzles and a variety of spray options, so they are suitable for filling bigger pans and pitchers. However, the disadvantage is that the high arc shape will further reduce the low water pressure and the wrong weight on the inferior model will cause the nozzle head/sprayer to shake.

The pull-out kitchen faucet is also called a countertop sink tap. This type of faucet has a traditional appearance. Compared with the pull-down faucet, the pull-out kitchen faucet has a longer hose, and you can rotate it to one side to catch the water. The pull-out faucet takes up less space and saves a lot of kitchen space. The spray head is smaller than the hand sprayer on the pull-down faucet model, and relatively speaking, the risk of serious splashing is lower. In addition, they are easier to operate around the sink area. If you are working on a low platform or sink, then you'd better install a pull-out faucet, because a high-curve pull-down faucet is not suitable for this type of place.

In summary, the two types of faucets have their own advantages, the difference lies in the direction of removing the sprayer mechanism from the faucet base. You'd better choose products based on the area of the kitchen.
